On Saturday, the Florida State Seminoles kept their undefeated record with a 9-3 win over the Penn Quakers at Dick Howser Stadium. They have been spotless in their first six games to start the year.
In six games, FSU has outscored their opponents 60-9. During their 6-0 start to 2025, they shut out James Madison twice and scored 24 runs against Penn in the first game of this current weekend series.
Florida State currently has five batters hitting .300+ on a minimum of 15 at-bats. Drew Faurot and Texas Tech transfer Gage Harrelson both have the best batting average on the team at .440.
Faurot leads the team in home runs with three and he sits tied for the most home runs in the ACC along with players like Georgia Tech’s Drew Burress and Wake Forest’s Marek Houston.

Jamie Arnold, one of the highest-ranked draft prospects in 2025, has gotten off to a hot start in two outings. He has yet to give up a run and has struck out 16 batters in 11 innings.
Arnold has also given up just three hits and has not walked anybody in his time on the mound thus far.
Joey Volini has also gotten two starts for Florida State. He earned the win on Saturday against Penn during his outing that went 5 2/3 innings. He has allowed an opposing batting average of .195 and has a 1.74 ERA.
It seems like he fits nicely into head coach Link Jarrett’s weekend rotation. This is especially nice considering the Seminoles are without Cam Leiter for the foreseeable future still.
Florida State is clicking on all cylinders. On Sunday, Feb. 23, they will try to complete a series sweep against Penn at Dick Howser Stadium and hopefully move to 7-0 in 2025. The first pitch for Sunday’s game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EST.
