Florida sophomore right-handed pitcher Aidan King has pitched 23 ⅓ innings this season and has allowed no earned runs. Over that same stretch, King has 26 strikeouts and has allowed an opposing batting average of .213.
Those 23 ⅓ innings of work came over the course of five different starts. Out of those five starts, King has three wins to his name against UAB, Kennesaw State, and South Carolina.
During the early parts of conference play, it is apparent that King is hitting a sophomore stride in Gainesville.
King and his great freshman season with the Gators
In 2025, King received plenty of starts on the mound for the Florida Gators. In 12 starts and 73 ⅓ innings of work, he had a 2.58 ERA and 79 strikeouts.
King was a part of the Southeastern Conference’s (SEC) All-Freshman team and was a unanimous first-team Freshman All-American.
In short, King was one of the best freshmen in the entire country last year, up there with the likes of LSU’s Derek Curiel and Florida State’s Myles Bailey.
Up next for Florida
