Cuban baseball legend, Frederich Cepeda, playing in his 26th season in Cuba at age 44, hit his 372nd career home run on March 16th, 2025 off pitcher Albert Valladares against Lenadores de Las Tunas at Estadio Julio Antonio Mella in Las Tunas, Cuba in the Cuban Elite League. He hit his 373rd one day later to pass Cuban legend Antônio Muñoz. Muñoz led the National Series in walks and doubles for 16 straight seasons and was the first to hit 200 and 300 career home runs.
Cepeda, the designated hitter for Tigres de Ciego de Avila, will set his sights on being just the 4th player to ever hit 400 career home runs in the National Series.

He now trails Cuban legend Omar Linares for third on the all-time list. Linares is widely considered the most outstanding Cuban player of the last 66 years in the National Series. It would be a massive milestone in his career as one of the all-time greats in the National Series if he were to pass a legend in Linares before he calls it a career.
