On Saturday, April 25, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 14-11 at Russ Chandler Stadium in Atlanta. The win earned Georgia Tech the series victory over Wake Forest and was the largest comeback for their program during this century.
The Yellow Jackets were losing 10-0 in the bottom of the second inning. They would go on to outscore the Demon Deacons 14-1 from that point forward for the historic win.
Who stood out in Georgia Tech’s massive win?
Jarren Advincula was the Yellow Jacket leader in hitting during the historic comeback win over Wake Forest.
He had five hits, one of which was a home run, and six RBIs. He also scored three runs himself.

Ryan Zuckerman and Drew Burress both had two doubles apiece in the game for Georgia Tech. Those two players combined for six hits and six runs scored.
As a team, the Yellow Jackets had 18 total hits.
Cooper Underwood had a massive relief outing for Georgia Tech during their big win. He closed out the final five innings of the game. During that stretch, he had seven strikeouts and allowed no hits and no runs.
Dimitri Angelakos also had a solid relief outing for the Yellow Jackets with three strikeouts and just one earned run allowed during two innings of work.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have a 35-7 overall record. They are also now 18-5 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play.
They will look to sweep the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Russ Chandler Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday, April 26. The first pitch is at 1 p.m. ET.
