His efforts offensively for the Yellow Jackets made them arguably the best team in the ACC in 2025.

In 2025, Georgia Tech ranked first in the conference in team batting average (.315). They were also ranked 12th nationally.

The Yellow Jackets finished the 2025 season as ACC regular season champions. It was their first ACC title of any kind since 2014.

What the Future Holds for Burress

The 2026 season for Burress holds big implications. He is a player who can find himself competing for a shot at being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 MLB draft.

Thus, Georgia Tech has one of the best players in college baseball heading into the 2026 season.

The Yellow Jackets’ star was recently invited to play in training camp for the USA Baseball Collegiate National team. Two other Georgia Tech players, Alex Hernandez and Vahn Lackey, were invited to the camp along with him.
