Georgia Tech’s Jarren Advincula Wins Cape Cod League Outstanding Pro Prospect Award

Georgia Tech transfer Jarren Advincula has been named the Cape Cod League’s Outstanding Pro Prospect Award winner.

According to the Cotuit Kettleers, the award is given to the player who “shows the highest-rated tools and intangibles and has been recommended by professional scouts who cover the Cape League all season.”

This summer, Advincula batted .360 in 75 at-bats. Over that span, he posted a .432 on-base percentage, hit five doubles and had six RBIs. Advincula also stole 11 bases for the Kettleers during the Cape Cod League season.

Advincula spent his first two collegiate seasons in Berkeley, Calif., playing for the California Golden Bears. His career batting average after those two seasons was .334, and he had a .407 on-base percentage. Last season, Advincula stole 13 bases for California.

In his collegiate career, Advincula has 64 RBIs and has walked more times than he has struck out, drawing 48 walks compared to 45 strikeouts over two seasons with California. He totaled 41 extra-base hits during his time with the Golden Bears.

According to Sports Illustrated, Advincula will play his junior season at Georgia Tech in 2026. He joins the Yellow Jackets a year after they won the 2025 ACC regular season championship.
