ATLANTA – From Tokyo to Tijuana to Würzburg, the 2025 MLB All-Star Game was a global affair on the field and red carpet. Seventeen players born outside the United States took the field Tuesday night at Truist Park, and many delivered in big moments. Shohei Ohtani, Ketel Marte, Alejandro Kirk, and Brendan Donovan were among the international standouts who helped lead the National League to a 7-6 win in 10 innings over the American League.

Shohei Ohtani got the scoring started with a first-inning single and came around to score on a sharp double by Ketel Marte.

Ronald Acuña Jr. followed with an infield hit and also scored, giving the NL a 2-0 lead.

Marte’s two-RBI double stood as one of the game’s biggest swings.

Brendan Donovan and Pete Alonso Break It Open

Brendan Donovan, born in Würzburg, Germany, had a pair of singles and scored on Pete Alonso’s three-run shot in the sixth.

That blast put the NL up 5-0 and gave Donovan one of the most productive nights among international players.

Jonathan Aranda reached base twice and scored.

Junior Caminero (Dominican Republic) singled in the third and played third base early on.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. (Bahamas), who reached on an error.

Javier Báez (Puerto Rico), who started in center. Elly De La Cruz (Dominican Republic) and Francisco Lindor (Puerto Rico) helped anchor the infield.

Gleyber Torres (Venezuela) went hitless but made plays at second.
