The Korean Baseball Organization has announced that the 2025 All-Star Game will be played at the Hanwha Eagles’ new stadium in Daejeon.
The KBO and the metropolitan government of Daejeon will collaborate ahead of the midsummer festivities, which are scheduled for July 12, 2025.
Before the Eagles moved into their new home, they played at the oldest stadium in the KBO, Hanwha Life Eagles Park, which opened in 1964. Their old stadium could only accommodate 12,000 fans, while their new stadium will accommodate about 20,000. The stadium has been tentatively named Daejeon Baseball Dream Park.
The Daejeon Mayor, Lee Jang-woo, stated, “We will make sure this is more than just a baseball game. We want to host a baseball festival.” The KBO is more than looking forward to this year’s midsummer classic at a brand new stadium. The first game scheduled for the new stadium will take place on March 28, when the Hanwha Eagles kick off the 2025 campaign.
