El Nido de los Águilas is home to the Águilas de Mexicali, a team in the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico
The 2025 Caribbean Series will also be televised on ESPN Deportes in Spanish and on MLB Network in English until the final out of the championship game on February 7.
Five teams participating at the 2025 Caribbean Series are the winners of the 2024-25 winter league regular seasons, including the host nation from the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico, Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente in Puerto Rico (Indios de Mayagüez), Liga Venezolana de Béisbol Profesional (Cardenales de Lara), Liga de Béisbol Profesional de la República Dominicana, and the Japan Breeze as an invitee appearing in the tournament for the first time.

Puerto Rico holds the second-most championships in Caribbean Series history, with 16 titles won in 1951, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1978, 1983, 1987, 1992, 1993, 1995, 2000, 2017, and 2018.

From the LBPRC, the Cangrejeros de Santurce have won five titles (1951, 1953, 1955, 1993, and 2000), and the Criollos de Caguas have also won five championships (1954, 1974, 1987, 2017, and 2018).
The Cangrejeros de Santurce and Criollos de Caguas are the only teams from Puerto Rico with more than two Caribbean Series titles. Other teams from Puerto Rico that have won the Caribbean Series include the Leones de Ponce (1972), Vaqueros de Bayamón (1975), Lobos de Arecibo (1983), and Senadores de San Juan (1995).
The last Caribbean Series championship game Puerto Rico played in was in 2021 at Estadio Teodoro Mariscal in Mazatlán, Mexico, with the 2020-21 LBPRC champion Criollos de Caguas losing 4-1 to the 2020-21 LIDOM champion Águilas Cibaeñas.
The Indios de Mayagüez will have 10 reinforcement players on their official roster for the 2025 Caribbean Series under manager Wilfredo “Coco” Cordero: Cangrejeros de Santurce left-handed pitcher Eduardo Rivera, Criollos de Caguas right-handed pitchers Ricardo Vélez, Dereck Rodríguez, and José De León, Criollos de Caguas left-handed pitcher Héctor Santiago, Senadores de San Juan right-handed pitcher Julián García, Leones de Ponce infielder Edwin Díaz, Criollos de Caguas catcher Onix Vega, and Cangrejeros de Santurce outfielders Henry Ramos and Rubén Castro.
