International-born Players Spotlighting 2025 World Series

 Matt Tallarini - World Baseball Network  |    Oct 24th, 2025 1:55pm EDT

World Baseball Network has compiled a list of every active international-born player participating in the 2025 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Dodgers are seeking their ninth championship in franchise history and aiming to become the first National League team to win back-to-back World Series titles since the Cincinnati Reds in 1975 and 1976. The Blue Jays are chasing their first title since 1993.

Dodgers left-hander Blake Snell will start Game 1 against Blue Jays rookie right-hander Trey Yesavage on Friday, October 24, at Rogers Centre in Toronto, with first pitch set for 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.

American musician and producer Pharrell Williams and the gospel choir Voices of Fire will perform prior to the start of Game 1.

Current Major League players Junior Caminero, Lawrence Butler, and Vinnie Pasquantino will take over MLB and MLB Español’s social media channels during the World Series.

Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani returned to the mound on June 16 against the San Diego Padres after missing the 2024 season with a torn right ulnar collateral ligament suffered in August 2023 while with the Los Angeles Angels. Ohtani made 14 starts during the 2025 regular season and helped lead the Dodgers to their 26th National League pennant.
