The winner of World Baseball Network’s International Player of the Week is NC Dinos’ second baseman Park Min-woo in the Korean Baseball Organization.

The left-handed hitting Min-woo, 31, blasted a two-run home run against Doosan Bears starting pitcher Choi Woo-joon at NC Park in Changwon, South Korea. He went 2-for-4 with three RBI in a 13-7 loss to the Doosan Bears on August 27.

The NC Dinos offense relies on Min-woo to produce, and he’s doing his part with a .341 batting average, which is second on their team. He has been hot with hits in three of his last four games, with five RBIs in that span. He has six home runs, 41 RBI, and a team-leading 29 stolen bases this season. His OPS is .882 in 383 at-bats in 2024.

Min-Woo is a 12-year veteran with the NC Dinos and debuted in 2013. He lived up to the billing of being the ninth overall pick in the 2012 KBO Draft. He won the KBO Rookie of the Year in his first full season in 2014, and his speed stood out with 50 stolen bases. He is also an elite defender with two KBO Gold Gloves in 2019 and 2020.

He participated in the Asian Games with South Korea in 2018 and won gold with them in a 5-1 victory against Japan at Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Gelora, Indonesia.

His 272 stolen bases are 17th all-time in KBO history.  Min-Woo has stolen 20 or more bases in six of his 12 seasons and has a batting average of .300 or better in eight seasons.

His career KBO numbers are 37 home runs, 479 RBI, and a slash line of .321/.397/.423 in 4,551 at-bats. Min-Woo has accumulated 1,462 hits and has reached 161 hits in two seasons in his career.
