Jac Caglianone is one step closer to the big leagues.
The Royals’ top prospect, and No. 1o ranked prospect in baseball, was called up from Double-A Northwest Arkansas to Triple-A Omaha.
Caglianone was hitting .322 with 9 home runs and 43 RBI this season. The Royals selected him as the No. 6 overall pick in last year’s MLB Draft.
He would qualify to play for Team Italy at the 2026 World Baseball Classic, so we will be watching the international wires to see if any news about that possible next step in his career is also announced.
