Jacob Reimer put on a show for the ages Wednesday night, crushing three home runs to power the High-A Brooklyn Cyclones to a commanding victory.
Reimer, a promising prospect in the New York Mets organization, displayed both power and poise at the plate, launching long balls in the third, fifth, and eighth innings. His offensive eruption accounted for seven RBIs, the most in a single game for a Cyclones player this season.
With this standout performance, Reimer now leads the Cyclones in home runs and slugging percentage, solidifying his status as one of the top emerging talents in the Metsβ farm system.
As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Reimer to see if he can continue this breakout campaign and possibly make the jump to Double-A Binghamton.
This afternoon, Jacob Reimer became the first Cyclone to hit three home runs in a single game in almost 20 years.
