Japan Roster For 2024 Honkbalweek Haarlem

The Baseball Federation of Japan will send its college national team to the 2024 Honkbalweek Haarlem tournament with the same roster as the 2024 PBW event.

Japan will play in their second consecutive event after beating Chinese Taipei 5-3 in the gold medal game of the 2024 Prague Baseball Week tournament in the Czech Republic on Monday, July 7.

The Honkbalweek Haarlem event will be in its 31st edition in 2024.

Tetsuya Horii will manage Japan for their second straight tournament.

Masatake Yamanaka is the president of the BFJ.

From July 12 to 19, all of the 2024 Honkbalweek Haarlem games will be played at Pim Mulier Stadion in Haarlem, Netherlands.

The gold medal and bronze medal game will be on July 19.

Japan will be one of the six teams in the field, along with the Kingdom of Netherlands, Spain, Chinese Taipei, Italy, and Team USA.

All of the 2024 Honkbalweek Haarlem tournament games will be nine innings with MLB pitch clock regulations.

The Baseball Federation of Japan and the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association announced on July 11, 2023, that they will participate in the 2024 Honkbalweek Haarlem event.

The CTBA will have players in their minor leagues of the Chinese Professional Baseball League in Taiwan be on the 2024 Honkbalweek Haarlem tournament roster.

Japan is aiming for their fifth gold medal at the Honkbalweek Haarlem event. Chinese Taipei has never won gold at the Honkbalweek Haarlem tournament.

Japan lost in the bronze medal game at the 2022 Honkbalweek Haarlem event to the USA Collegiate National Team 5-1. They are ranked No. 1 in the World Baseball Rankings from the World Baseball Softball Confederation.

The 2024 Honkbalweek Haarlem event will affect each participating team’s place in the WBR.

The first game of the 2024 Honkbalweek Haarlem event will be on July 12. Chinese Taipei will play Japan at 9:30 a.m. EDT, followed by the Netherlands playing the United States at 1:30 p.m. EDT, both games at Pim Mulier Stadion.

The honkbal.tv streaming platform will have all the 2024 Honkbal Haarlem Week live games with a paid subscription.
