On January 1, Jarred Kelenic agreed to a Minor League deal with the Chicago White Sox. The deal includes a non-roster invite to the White Sox spring training at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz.
Kelenic and his 2025 Baseball Season
In 2025, Kelenic had 60 at-bats with the Atlanta Braves. He had a .167 batting average with an OPS of .531.
He also hit two home runs against the San Diego Padres on March 28 and the Minnesota Twins on April 18.
The last game he appeared in for Atlanta was on July 30 when they played against the Kansas City Royals.
Kelenic also spent time playing for the Braves’ Triple-A affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers. In 362 at-bats, he had a .213 batting average, a .286 on-base percentage, four home runs, and 29 RBI.
The 2025 season was Kelenic’s eighth season in professional baseball. He was drafted sixth overall in 2018 by the New York Mets out of Waukesha West High School in Wisconsin.
Chicago White Sox Spring Training Schedule
The Chicago White Sox’s first spring training game will be on February 21 against the Athletics. The first pitch is at 3:05 p.m. EST.
In 2025, the White Sox had a 60-102 record and finished in fifth place in the American League Central Division.
