On October 5, Going Yard hosted a Home Run Derby featuring several former MLB players and athletes from other sports. The event was held at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas, which serves as the home for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys.

The most notable names who highlighted the competition are former MLB slugger Jose Canseco, baseball content creator and former minor leaguer Eric Sim (A.K.A. King of Juco), and former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown. Also, former MLB outfielders Andruw Jones, Josh Reddick, and first-baseman Rafael Palmeiro participated, along with former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel.

Along with the derby, many festivities were held before players started swinging for the fences. Some celebrities that made appearances were Ric Flair, Amber Rose, Bob Menery, and Robert O’Neill.

The winner of the home run derby was athlete Cordell Greene. Greene is a baseball content creator and coach whose mission is to inspire others to play baseball.

After the home run derby wrapped up, the night concluded with fireworks for all fans and participants. Fans who did not purchase tickets to attend the event in person were able to stream the event exclusively on Rumble.
