SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (June 29, 2025) – For the second time, Juan A. Bibiloni Little League from Yabucoa, Puerto Rico will be making the trip to Williamsport after defeating Hermanos Cruz Little League from Arroyo to represent Puerto Rico in the 2025 Little League Baseball® World Series (LLBWS), presented by T-Mobile.
Juan A. Bibiloni LL had a dominant run in the region tournament, scoring more than 45 runs throughout, with an impressive 20 runs in just one game. The team completed its perfect run going 4-0 in the tournament, winning the final game against Hermanos Cruz LL, 11-1.
In 1999, Juan A. Bibiloni LL made an impressive run to Williamsport, finishing 3-1 and reaching the International Championship game against Japan — marking the best performance by a Puerto Rican team in LLBWS history.
In 2019, Little League expanded the field of 16 to 20 teams, adding two U.S. teams and allowing two additional international teams to earn direct entry on a three-year rotation that is dependent on league and player participation. This year, the randomly selected rotation grant is Puerto Rico and Panama with direct entry. For 2026, teams from Puerto Rico will compete against other Caribbean Region teams for a spot in the tournament.
The first-round matchups for the 2025 LLBWS were announced on June 11 during National Little League Week and just one week after the anniversary of the first-ever Little League game. Puerto Rico will square off to face the Latin America Region winner in Game 1 of the tournament on Wednesday, August 13, at 1 p.m. at Volunteer Stadium.
The 2025 Little League Baseball World Series, presented by T-Mobile, is set to kick off on Wednesday, August 13, with the World Series Championship game scheduled for August 24.
