Rain wiped out a KBO matchup between the Samsung Lions and the LG Twins for the second time this week. The series will resume on Saturday, with the Lions holding a 2-1 series lead and needing just one more win to advance to the Korean Series against the Kia Tigers.
The inclement weather gives both teams a chance to rest their beleaguered bullpens. The Lions used six different relievers in Game 3 on Wednesday, while the Twins pushed red-hot pitcher Elieser Hernandez for 3.1 innings in order to avoid the sweep and extend the season at least one more day.
Unlike earlier in the series, where a Game 2 rainout forced the Twins to reshuffle their rotation, both teams will stick with their original starter. The Twins will go with 13-game-winner Detrich Enns, who is looking to rebound from a difficult series against the KT Wiz in which he allowed seven runs in 8.2 innings. The Lions, meanwhile, will turn once again to ace Denyi Reyes. The Dominican right-hander helped lead the Lions to a Game 1 win by giving up just one earned run in 6.2 innings.
The first pitch from Jasmil Baseball Stadium will be on Saturday at 1:00 a.m. EST.
