Kyle Branch is one of many returning players in 2026 for the Oklahoma Sooners. His freshman season in 2025 set the stage for what could be another great year for him in Norman.

Branch was nominated to the SEC All-Freshman team last season. He was one of Oklahoma’s best hitters with a .288 batting average and 33 RBI. The infielder had the third-best batting average on the team.

He was also one of the Sooners’ best base-stealing threats. He had 14 stolen bases last season, which was tied for second-most on the team alongside Easton Carmichael and Jaxon Willits.

2025 Round Rock Classic Most Valuable Player

Branch’s best set of games during the 2025 college baseball season came during the 2025 Round Rock Classic.

In three games against Minnesota, Oregon State, and Virginia, he had six hits, four RBI, and scored three runs himself.

He led the charge in Oklahoma winning the 2025 Round Rock Classic championship. They won all three games at Dell Diamond.

Branch also brought home the tournament’s MVP award and was a member of the 2025 Round Rock Classic All-Tournament team.

Oklahoma’s 2025 Season Results

In 2025, the Oklahoma Sooners finished the season 38-22 overall. They were also 14-16 in SEC play. It was their first baseball season in the SEC after moving on from the Big 12.

The Sooners made the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight season. They were placed in the Chapel Hill regional as the two seed.

Despite two wins over the Nebraska Cornhuskers and one win against the North Carolina Tar Heels, Oklahoma lost in the regional final.
