The Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico announced the winners of the infield Gold Glove awards for the 2024-25 season.
At first base, Reynaldo Rodriguez of the Charros de Jalisco had a .998 fielding percentage, making just one error in 502 chances over 50 games.
Isaac Rodriguez of the Caneros de Los Mochis won the Gold Glove at second, making two errors in 329 chances for a .994 fielding percentage over 66 games.
At third, Emmanuel Ávila achieved a .975 fielding percentage in 43 games with the Sultanes de Monterrey and the Tomateros de Culiacán, making three errors in 118 opportunities.
Venados de Mazatlán shortstop Brayan Quintero, who was also nominated for the Rookie of the Year award, won the Gold Glove with a .977 batting average in 59 games. He made six errors in 266 opportunities, playing a total of 505 innings at short over the winter.
Moreno Will Lead Algodoneros de Guasave – Jose “Cheo” Moreno, who won the LAMP title as manager of the Caneros de Los Mochis in 2022-23, has been named the manager of the Algodoneros de Guasave.
Moreno is a veteran winter ball manager, having won the Manager of the Year award in Venezuela’s Liga Venezolana de Beisbol Profesional twice, first with the Cardenales de Lara in 2020-21 and again with the Bravos de Margarita in 2023-24.
He has also won three titles in affiliated baseball with the Seattle Mariners organization, capturing the Venezuela Summer League title in 2002 with Aguirre, the Arizona League title in 2007 with the Arizona League Mariners, and the 2010 Northwest League championship with the Everett AquaSox.
Moreno is currently in his fifth season managing a Cincinnati Reds minor league affiliate and his fourth as skipper of Double-A Chattanooga.
