Caneros de Los Mochis (9-6) 2, Tucson Baseball Team (6-9) 1 – Josh Rehwaldt’s third homer of the year, a solo shot in the second, tied the game for Los Mochis, and Isaac Rodriguez’ RBI single in the seventh sent Juan Uriarte scampering home with the game-winning run as Los Mochis topped Tucson “on the road” in a game played in Los Mochis due to Tucson’s ongoing visa issues. Jesus Fabela drove in Tucson’s lone run, hitting his second homer of the year in the bottom of the first.

Jaguares de Nayarit (8-7) 5, Aguilas de Mexicali (8-7) 2 – Carlos Sepulveda went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored, a walk and an RBI as Nayarit won the series opener to stay above .500. Yadir Drake hit a two-run homer in the sixth for Mexicali, his third of the season. Antonio Garzon recorded his 200th career strikeout in the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico for Nayarit by fanning Yadiel Hernandez in the bottom of the sixth.

Venados de Mazatlan (4-11) 7, Algodoneros de Guasave (3-12) 2 (10 Innings) – Leo German’s pinch-hit three-run homer in the 10th capped Mazatlan’s fourth win of the year as they scored five runs in the extra frame to send the Algodoneros down to the cellar alone. Keven Lamas hit a two-run single in the 10th for the Venados, who squandered a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the eighth when Esteban Quiroz hit a two-run homer for Guasave.
