Yaquis de Obregon (32-22) 6, Aguilas de Mexicali (28-26) 5 – Allen Cordoba went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a run scored, driving in two runs with a second-inning double and two more with another double in the fifth. Starter Felipe Gonzalez allowed two runs on five hits over five innings, walking two and striking out six for the Yaquis. Moises Gutierrez hit his second homer of the year for the Aguilas in the loss.
Naranjeros de Hermosillo (32-22) 4, Jaguares de Nayarit (31-23) 1 – Starter Jose Samayoa threw six innings, allowing one run on four hits, walking one and striking out one, and the bullpen was perfect over the final three innings as the Naranjeros drew into a three-way tie for first place overall with Obregon and Culiacan. Angel Ramirez, Jasson Atondo, and Cesar Salazar all went 2-for-4. Salazar scored twice for Hermosillo, once on a fourth-inning double by Todd Lott and again on a sacrifice bunt in the sixth by Agustin Murillo.
Charros de Jalisco (30-29) 9, Tomateros de Culiacan (32-22) 8 – Jalisco jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first behind a two-run single from Reynaldo Rodriguez, a two-run double from Michael Wielansky, RBI singles from Julian Ornelas and Dean Nevarez, and a sac fly from Mateo Gil, and added two more runs late in the to edge Culiacan. Wielansky finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Dwight Smith Jr. hit his first two homers of the winter, including a three-run shot in the top of the ninth to draw the Tomateros within one.
Caneros de Los Mochis (30-24) 2, Algodoneros de Guasave (19-35) 0 – The Caneros got a great game from the bullpen, with six pitchers combining to allow just four hits and six walks in a shutout of the Algodoneros. Yurisbel Gracial’s sac fly in the top of the first scored Isaac Rodriguez with the winning run, and Aaron Lugo was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the third to push Rodolfo Amador across to make it 2-0.
Tucson Baseball Team (18-36) 10, Venados de Mazatlan (18-36) 0 – Alexis Wilson went 3-for-3 with a three run homer and an RBI single, driving in four runs as the Baseball Team moved into a tie for ninth place overall with the Venados. Edgar Lugo went 3-for-5 and drove in three, including a pair with a double in the third.

Aguilas de Mexicali – Retroactive to Dec. 15, IF Phillip Evans is deactivated. He may be activated Dec. 20. OF Ren Tachioka is added to the active roster. Effective this date, Bronswell Patrick is being released as a coach.
Naranjeros de Hermosillo – Retroactive to Dec. 12, deactivated RHP Augusto Mendieta, who may be activated on Dec. 17, and RHP Orlando González is added to the active roster.
