Charros de Jalisco (14-9) 1, Caneros de Los Mochis (14-9) 0 – Luis Ivan Rodriguez threw six scoreless innings of three-hit ball, walking one and striking out four as the Charros edged the Caneros in the series finale. Japhet Amador’s fourth-inning sac fly scored Jared Serna with the game’s only run. The Los Mochis pitching staff allowed just five hits and three walks, with three relievers combining to allow one hit and no walks, but the offense couldn’t deliver anything.
Naranjeros de Hermosillo (13-10) 3, Aguilas de Mexicali (11-12) 2 (11 Innings) – A two-out single by TT Bowens in the top of the 11th got Jasson Atondo home with the go-ahead run, and the Naranjeros escaped a first-and-third, two-out jam in the bottom of the inning to get the win over the Aguilas. Atondo got Hermosillo on the board with an RBI single in the sixth, and Jesus Loya tied the game in the top of the ninth with a sac fly that scored Harold Ramirez. Moises Gutierrez had an RBI double for Mexicali, which got seven innings of three-hit ball from starter CJ Van Eyk.
Jaguares de Nayarit (12-11) 2, Venados de Mazatlan (7-16) 1 – Jared Wetherbee allowed four hits over six scoreless innings for Nayarit, striking out nine and walking none, and the Jaguares relievers allowed one hit in three innings, stifling the Venados bats. Jose Felix doubled home Brandon Villareal in the fourth and Jacob amaya doubled in Jesse Castillo in the seventh for the Jaguares, who made their four hits count.
Tomateros de Culiacan (11-12) 5, Tucson Baseball Team (9-14) 4 – Jon Singleton went 2-for-3 with a run scored, and Ichiro Cano scored twice, including the tying run in the top of the ninth, as the Tomateros edged Tucson. Alexis Wilson drove in three runs and scored twice for the Baseball Team, hitting a two-run homer in the fifth and a solo shot in the seventh.
Algodoneros de Guasave (8-15) 7, Yaquis de Obregon (16-7) 0 – Philip Ervin got the Algodoneros on the board with a two-run homer in the first, then drove in another run in the third with a single as the Algodoneros cruised past Obregon Sunday. Yael Romero drove in three runs, two with a triple in the third and another with a sacrifice fly in the seventh, and Esteban Quiroz had an RBI double in the fourth for Guasave. Algodoneros starter Zach Willeman threw six scoreless innings, allowing two hits, two walks, and striking out four.
