Tomateros de Culiacan (29-21) 7, Caneros de Los Mochis (28-22) 6 (10 Innings) – Ichiro Cano’s RBI single in the 10th inning put the game away for the Tomateros after they coughed up a three-run lead over the final three innings. Trailing 3-1 in the fifth, Joey Meneses and Orlando Martinez delivered a pair of two-run doubles and Fernando Villegas cappted the five-run inning with an RBI single. A two-run double from Eric Filia in the seventh and a solo homer from Alejo Lopez in the eighth tied the game for Los Mochis. Yurisbel Gracial contributed a two-run single in the fifth for the Caneros.
Naranjeros de Hermosillo (29-21) 11, Algodoneros de Guasave (18-32) 5 – Willie Calhoun went 3-for-4 with a walk, a run scored, a double, and an RBI, and Angel Ramirez went 2-for-5 with three RBIs as the Naranjeros made easy work of Guasave. Harold Ramirez scored three times and drove in one run for Hermosillo, and six relievers combined to throw 5 2/3 scoreless innings to secure the win. Orlando Pina drove in two runs for the Algodoneros with a single in the bottom of the third.
Charros de Jalisco (27-23) 4, Yaquis de Obregon (29-21) 0 – Manny Banuelos allowed one hit and walked five over six shutout innings, notching four strikeouts as the Charros blanked the Yaquis in the final game of the series. Reynaldo Rodriguez had two RBI singles, Michael Wielansky had a sac fly, and Mateo Gil hit his fourth homer of the year for Jalisco.
Aguilas de Mexicali (27-23) 3, Venados de Mazatlan (18-32) 2 (10 Innings) – Yadir Drake tied the game with a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth, and a sac fly from Moises Gutierrez sent Estevan Florial home with the game-winner in the bottom of the 10th as Mexicali edged Mazatlan. The late-inning heroics spoiled a quality start by Braulio Torres-Perez, who threw six scoreless innings, allowing two hits, three walks, and striking out two.
Tucson Baseball Team (17-33) 8, Jaguares de Nayarit (28-22) 2 – River Town drove in one run with a single in the fifth and two more with another single in the sixth, and Marco Chicuate hit his second home run of the season,a. two-run shot in the sixth, as the Baseball Team topped the Jaguares in a home game played on the road. Francisco Perez capped the scoring for Tucson with a two-run homer in the eighth inning.
