Tomateros de Culiacan (22-20) 4, Naranjeros de Hermosillo (24-18) 0 – Starter Manny Barreda threw seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out four as the Tomateros won Lorenzo Bundy’s managerial debut in Culiacan. Joey Meneses went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, including a single in the fifth that scored the Tomateros’ fourth run of the night.
Charros de Jalisco (22-20) 5, Venados de Mazatlan (15-27) 3 – Bligh Madris hit a solo homer in the first, Jared Serna hit a three-run shot in the third, and Billy Hamilton went 2-for-4 with an RBI single as the Charros picked up a win against Mazatlan. Starter Ronald Medrano allowed one run on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts over five innings for Jalisco.
Yaquis de Obregon (27-15) 10, Caneros de Los Mochis (23-19) 0 – Sebastian Elizalde hit a three-run homer in the fourth, Santiago Chavez hit one of his one in the fifth, and Roberto Valenzuela capped the drubbing for Obregon, hitting a two-run homer in the top of the eighth as the Yaquis made short work of the Caneros. Veteran starter Odrisamer Despaigne allowed three hits and three walks, striking out four over six shutout innings for the Yaquis.
Jaguares de Nayarit (26-16) 3, Algodoneros de Guasave (15-27) 0 – Grant Wetherber threw six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks, striking out six as Nayarit had no trouble with Guasave. Aaron Zavala had an RBI double in the fifth, and Niko Vasquez and Ricardo Valenzuela each had RBI singles for Nayarit.
