Yaquis de Obregon (28-19) 5, Tomateros de Culiacan (26-21) 2 – Obregon got out to a 5-0 lead early, with Kevin Villavicenio hitting an RBI single in the second and Sebastian Elizalde hitting a two-run double in the third. They held on to snap Culican’s six-game winning streak, escaping a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the sixth after the Tomateros had gotten a run from a Joey Meneses sac fly and another from a bases loaded walk to Fernando Villegas when Diosbel Arias flew out and Luis Verdugo struck out swinging. Starter Odrisamer Despaigne threw 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits with three walks and four strikeouts for Obregon.

Naranjeros de Hermosillo (26-21) 5, Charros de Jalisco (25-22) 3 – Harold Ramirez went 1-for-2 with two walks and scored a run, Willie Calhoun and TT Bowens each drew bases-loaded walks in the second, and Cesar Salazar drove in the game-winner for Hermosillo with a sixth-inning single. Bowens homered in the eighth to give the Naranjeros some insurance, and starter Wilmer Rios threw five innings, allowing three runs on six hits, walking four and striking out two. Bligh Madris hit a two-run homer in the first for Jalisco, which fell to 5-7 in the second half.

Aguilas de Mexicali (24-22) 3, Jaguares de Nayarit (27-19) 1 (Seven Innings/Game 1) – David Reyes threw five innings, allowing one run on four hits for Mexicali, and Yadir Drake went 2-for-4 and hit a two-run double in the third to put the Aguilas ahead for good in the first game of a single-admission double header. Phillip Evans had an RBI single for Mexicali.

Aguilas de Mexicali (24-22) 4, Jaguares de Nayarit (27-12) 3 (Seven Innings/Game 2) – With two outs and the bases loaded in the first, Wynton Bernard lashed a ball to third that Nayarit’s Aldo Montes couldn’t handle, allowing three runs to score for the Aguilas. They’d add another in the fourth on Gilberto Vizcarra’s single that scored Bernard. Niko Vasquez hit a two-out, two-run single for the Jaguares in the sixth, but they weren’t able to scratch out any more from the rally. Jake Sanchez earned his second save of the day, throwing a perfect seventh inning for Mexicali.

Caneros de Los Mochis (28-19) 4, Tucson Baseball Team (15-32) 3 – River Town’s bases-loaded triple in the seventh gave the Baseball Team a 3-2 lead, but a two-run single in the eighth by Los Mochis’ Aaron Lugo sent Alejandro Urias home with the go-ahead run and the Caneros held on for the win. Urias drove in the Caneros’ first run with a sac fly in the fourth, and Rodolfo Amador hit a solo homer in the sixth for Los Mochis.

Venados de Mazatlan (17-30) 7, Algodoneros de Guasave (18-29) 6 (10 Innings) – Miles Simington went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, Andres Alvarez went 2-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs, and Miguel Guzman squeezed home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th with a bunt down the third base line as the Venados improved to 5-7 in the second half.
