LSU Tigers and Oregon State Beavers are headed to Las Vegas
The LSU Tigers will represent the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in the 2027 Las Vegas College Baseball Classic. In 2026, the Tigers had a disappointing season with a 30-28 record and a 9-21 record in SEC play. LSU missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011 and had its fewest conference wins in a single season dating back to 1983.
Before a less-than-stellar 2026 season. LSU won its program’s eighth national title in 2025.
The Oregon State Beavers will also be playing in the 2027 Las Vegas College Baseball Classic. Much like LSU, Oregon State made it to Omaha in 2025 and played in the College World Series.
The Beavers built off that season with a good year in 2026. They finished with a 45-14 overall record and made the NCAA Tournament for the ninth-straight season. They played in the Eugene regional and won two games against Yale and Washington State.
Arizona State and Iowa round out the 2027 Las Vegas Classic Field
The Arizona State Sun Devils will represent the Big 12 in the 2027 Las Vegas College Baseball Classic field. In 2026, the Sun Devils finished with a 39-21 overall record and were 19-11 in Big 12 play.
Arizona State made the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight season and played in the Lincoln regional, losing to Ole Miss in the regional final. Despite their season ending at Haymarket Park, the Sun Devils did pick up two wins in the Lincoln regional against South Dakota State and Nebraska.
The Iowa Hawkeyes will represent the Big 10 in the 2027 Las Vegas College Baseball Classic. In 2026, the Hawkeyes finished with a 33-23 overall record and were 15-15 in Big Ten play.
