LBPRC Announces All-Star Team, Gold Glove Winners, and MVP for the 2025-26 Season

Puerto Rico’s winter league, the LBPRC, is currently in the final stages of the 2025-26 season. The Cangrejeros de Santurce hold a 2-0 series lead over the Leones de Ponce in the championship round.

The league announced the All-Star team and Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners for the regular season on Monday. Three pitchers were selected as All-Stars.

Of the nine players who earned a Gold Glove, the Leones lead the six-team league with four players selected. The Criollos de Caguas, Gigantes de Carolina, and Ponce each had three players selected to the All-Star team.

The LBPRC also revealed the Most Valuable Player of the 2025-26 season this past Friday.

Most Valuable Player – Gigantes de Carolina left fielder Johnathan Rodríguez was named the MVP of the 2025-26 LBPRC season this past Friday.

Rodríguez, 26, hit .265/.335/.347 with one home run and 23 RBIs in 40 games. He was a third-round draft pick of the Cleveland Guardians in 2017, making his MLB debut in 2024.
