Indios de Mayagüez 3, Leones de Ponce 2 – The Indios de Mayagüez and Leones de Ponce provided fans in attendance at Estadio Isidoro “Cholo” García three extra-innings on Tuesday night. Tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 12th inning with one out and a runner on third, Indios’ outfielder Chavez Young laced a fly ball to center field just deep enough to drive in the game’s winning run with a sacrifice fly.

Chunichi Dragons’ right-handed pitcher Koji Fukutani threw three scoreless relief innings for the Leones de Ponce in his LBPRC debut. With the win, the Indios improved to 2-1, and the Leones de Ponce are now 0-3 on the young season.
