The game between the LIDOM and LVBP All-stars has been canceled due to safety concerns and teams speaking out against the current situation. The game was originally located in Venezuela but will now take place in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and will just feature the LIDOM.

The original date was scheduled for the Dominican Republic (LIDOM) vs. Venezuela (LVBP) All-Stars to compete, but due to current geopolitical situations in Venezuela, there would be issues with the travel between the two countries.

The game is scheduled to take place at José Briceño Stadium on Dec. 10. Puerto Plata has a population of 470,000 and will draw fans from all over. The stadium has been given over 200 million dollars from the Dominican government. It will host a preseason game between Águilas Cibaeñas and Leones del Escogido on Oct. 5. The proposal to play the All-Star game at Jose Briceño has been made. Still, it will be decided upon in the next couple of days, according to Diario Libre.

There are still exhibitions scheduled featuring teams from both countries, specifically the Hexagonal Monumental. Tigres de Licey would be one of six teams competing in the tournament, including three Venezuelan teams, one Japanese team, and one Puerto Rican team.

With the situation in Venezuela still developing, other events involving Venezuelan baseball teams could possibly be moved.
