Gigantes del Cibao (3-5) 8, Estrellas Orientales (4-8) 6 – Monday night’s matchup was a back-and-forth battle, with score after score and hit after hit keeping fans engaged from start to finish. Top performers included Kelvin Gutiérrez, who drove in four runs and scored twice, and Carlos Franco, who added three RBIs.

In the top of the first inning, Miguel Sanó hit his sixth home run of the season, a deep fly ball to left field, followed by Franco’s second homer of the year to right field that brought home Carlos Jorge and Gutiérrez.

In the bottom of the second, Gutiérrez blasted his first home run of the season, a towering shot to left-center field that plated Julio Carreras and Carlos Jorge.

Two innings later, Gutiérrez ripped a sharp line drive to left, driving in Johan Rojas and hustling into second to give his team a crucial boost of momentum.

Coco Montes added a single to right in the fourth that allowed Raimel Tapia to score. Castro later doubled in the seventh to drive in Tapia.

The Gigantes del Cibao closed out an 8–6 victory behind three innings of scoreless relief from Jhan Marinez, Neftali Feliz, and Jefry Yan.

Aguilas Cibaenas (8-1) at Tigres del Licey (4-5) – Heavy rain in Santo Domingo resulted in Monday’s game between the Aguilas and Tigres being postponed. The game has been rescheduled for Nov. 6.
