The Liga Mexicana de Beisbol has announced a 93-game schedule for the 2026 season, the league’s 101st, which will begin in April 2026 and conclude in August 2026.
Opening night for the 2026 LMB season will feature the Piratas de Campeche visiting the two-time defending champion Diablos Rojos del México on Thursday, April 16 at Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium in Mexico City.The game isa rematch of the 2025 Zona Sur Championship Series that went six games and was won by the Diablos Rojos four games to two. The other 18 teams will open the season on Friday, April 18.
The league’s schedule will feature two weeks of interdivisional play between teams from the Zona Norte and Zona Sur form June 9-21, potentially giving fans a preview of the 2026 Serie del Rey.
Midway through the 2026 season, the All-Star Break will be from June 26-28. The Sultanes de Monterrey will host the gala, the Home Run Derby and the 92nd edition of the LMB All-Star Game at Walmart Park in Monterrey.
Aug. 6, 2026 will mark the end of the regular season. The top six teams from the Zona Norte and Zona Sur based on winning percentage will qualify for the playoffs, which begin on Aug. 9. The second round will begin on Aug. 19, the Zona Norte and Zona Sur Championship Series on Aug. 29, and the Serie del Rey will start on Sept. 9. Each postseason series will be a best-of-seven.
