Bravos de Leon (42-38) 7, Diablos Rojos del Mexico (54-26) 3 – All good things, and all winning streaks, eventually come to an end. The Bravos, a team that has depended on their bats to win, got six innings from starter Felipe Hernandez, who allowed three runs on three hits and struck out four. Despite allowing seven walks, the Diablos didn’t capitalize on the free passes Hernandez issued, and the Leon bullpen allowed just one hit, a homer by Robinson Cano in the ninth, and one walk over the final three innings as the Bravos ended the Diablos’ winning streak at 14 games. Despite the loss, the Diablos clinched a berth in the playoffs and are one win away from clinching home field advantage.
Olmecas de Tabasco (47-34) 4, Pericos de Puebla (41-38) 1 – Seth Beer had an RBI single and a sac fly for Tabasco, driving in two runs as the Olmecas got one game closer to clinching a playoff berth. Luis Gonzalez added an RBI single in the fourth and Agustin Ruiz had an RBI double in the seventh for Tabasco.
Tigres de Quintana Roo (41-37) 9, Guerreros de Oaxaca (41-39) 1 – Calvin Estrada went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, hitting a sac fly in the first and RBI singles in the third and fourth as the Tigres mauled the Guerreros, dropping Oaxaca to seventh place. Quintana Roo starter Melvi Acosta allowed one run on three hits, walking one and striking out two.
Caliente de Durango (44-35) 11, Dorados de Chihuahua (31-49) 5 – Reynaldo Rodriguez drove in four runs, two each with singles in the first and fourth innings, and the Caliente clubbed four solo homers, one each from Jose Urena, Estevan Florial, Daniel Johnson, and Elier Hernandez. Johnson and Hernandez went back-to-back in the eighth. With the loss, Chihuahua’s tragic number is four – four more losses or four more wins by Aguascalientes would mean that the Dorados will miss the playoffs.

Piratas de Campeche (40-37) 8, El Aguila de Veracruz (38-42) 2 – Fernando Flores went 3-for-5 with two doubles, driving in two with his fourth-inning two-bagger as the Piratas kept themselves half a game on the good side of a potential playoff berth. Jesus Fabela and Andrew Stevenson scored twice for Campeche.
Rieleros de Aguascalientes (37-39) 10, Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (29-51) 4 – Jose Manuel Orozco drove in five runs, hitting a three-run homer in the third, a double in the fourth, and drawing a bases loaded walk as the Rieleros pummeled the hapless Tecos. Harol Gonzalez allowed three runs in six innings of work, allowing five hits, two walks, and striking out one.

Sultanes de Monterrey (43-37) 7, Saraperos de Saltillo (32-47) 0 – Gustavo Nunez went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Victor Mendoza and Kellen Strahm each drove in a pair to get the Sultanes past Saltillo. Daniel Cruz threw five scoreless innings for Monterrey, walking three and striking out one while allowing five hits.

Leones de Yucatan (28-50) 8, Conspiradores de Queretaro (33-46) 0 – Raudy Read drove in four of the Leones’ eight runs over the final two innings, hitting a two-run double in the eighth and a two-run homer in the ninth Yucatan snatched a win from Queretaro.

Toros de Tijuana (51-24) 4, Charros de Jalisco (39-38) 0 – Junior Lake’s RBI single in the fifth was all the offense that Tijuana would need. Starter Adonis Medina struck out seven over five shutout innings, allowing two hits and walking none. Franchy Cordero hit his 16th homer of the year, a solo shot in the sixth, for the Toros.
Acereros de Monclova (41-39) 6, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (37-43) 3 – Ryan Hernandez opened the scoring with a grand slam in the bottom of the first, and the Acereros never trailed, adding two more on singles by Leo Heras in the fifth and seventh. With the loss, Union Laguna is two games behind Aguascalientes for the final playoff spot in the Zona Norte.
