Tigres de Quintana Roo (16-22) 9, Guerreros de Oaxaca (24-16) 1 – Phillip Ervin and Troy Viola each went 2-for-4 with three RBIs as the Tigres took the series opener from Oaxaca. Ervin hit a two-run homer in the third and added an RBI double in the eighth, and Viola hit a three-run homer in the eighth. JJ Matijevic had a two-run homer of for the Tigres, and starter Melvi Acosta allowed one run on one hit, walking one and striking out five over 6 1/3 innings. Oaxaca managed just two hits in the game, one of them an RBI double by Aristides Aquino.

Rieleros de Aguascalientes (21-19) 4, Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (18-22) 3 – Matthew Batten went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI for the Rieleros, hitting an RBI single in the eighth to score Jose Rondon with the go-ahead run. Zoilo Almonte had two hits, including an RBI single, for Dos Laredos.
Bravos de Leon (23-17) 10, Diablos Rojos del Mexico (25-15) 4 – Leon’s Gabriel Cancel caught Mexico’s Jon Singleton in the home run race, hitting his 14th of the year, a solo shot in the eighth, to tie for the league lead as the Bravos topped the Diablos. Cancel went 2-for-5 and scored twice, and Alan Garcia went 3-for-5 for the Bravos and drove in five runs. Moises Gutierrez hit a three-run homer for the Diablos.
El Aguila de Veracruz (17-23) 2, Piratas de Campeche (15-23) 1 – Jake Cave’s eighth-inning double scored Connor Hollis with the game-winning run as El Aguila won for the second time in their last 10 games. Christhian Ibarra’s squeeze bunt in the second got Alejandro Flores home with Veracruz’s first run.

Caliente de Durango (21-18) 6, Dorados de Chihuahua (13-27) 4 – Reynaldo Rodriguez drove in three runs, two with a double in the first and another with a sac fly in the eighth as the Caliente won their sixth straight game. Former New York Yankee Estevan Florial had two hits and scored twice for Durango in the win. Mark Contreras hit two solo homers and drove in three runs in the loss for the Dorados.
Pericos de Puebla (22-18) 11, Olmecas de Tabasco (25-15) 4 – Juan Kirk drove in three runs with a ninth-inning and earned four RBIs in the series opener for Puebla, and Lorenzo Cedrola went 4-for-6 with three RBIs for the Pericos, hitting four doubles off four different Tabasco pitchers. Domingo Leyba hit a solo homer for Tabasco.
Sultanes de Monterrey (24-16) 11, Saraperos de Saltillo (13-25) 10 – Carlos Soto hit a two-run homer and an RBI single, driving in three and scoring three times for the Sultanes, and Gustavo Nunez drove in a pair as they took the series opener from Saltillo. Chris Carter hit his 10th homer of the year for the Saraperos, a solo homer in the second, and Danny Ortiz hit a two-run homer in the third for Saltillo, which coughed up a 9-5 lead.
Conspiradores de Queretaro at Leones de Yucatan (14-25) – This game was postponed due to rain and will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Wednesday.
Algodoneros de Union Laguna (16-25) 3, Acereros de Monclova (21-19) 1 – Yadir Drake went 2-for-4 and drove in the go-ahead run with a double in the sixth inning, and Emmanuel Rivera and Edward Olivares contributed RBIs as the Algodoneros evened the series with Monclova. Starter Ricardo Sanchez allowed one run on five hits in six innings of work for Union Laguna, and Matt Foster earned his seventh save of the year.
Toros de Tijuana (27-12) 4, Charros de Jalisco (24-15) 3 – The Toros extended their lead on the Zona Norte to 3 1/2 games with a series-opening win over second-place Jalisco. Hernan Perez hit a two-run homer in the fifth that gave Tijuana the lead for good, Isaac Rodriguez hit and RBI double in the second and Justin Turner tied the game at two-apiece for the Toros with an RBI single in the third. Kyle Garlick hit his 10th homer of the year for the Charros in the third.
