Miles Simington had three hits and scored a run for Quintana Roo. Josh Lester hit his 12th homer of the year for Monterrey, a ninth-inning solo shot.
Leones de Yucatan (18-33) 9, Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (21-31) 2 – Esmil Rogers allowed one run on six hits, striking out five and walking none over six innings of work for Yucatan, Alfonso Rivas hit a two-run double in the fifth, and Eduardo Torrealba had a two-run single in the fourth and an RBI single in the fifth as the Leones stomped the Tecos. Harold Ramirez had two hits and two RBIs for Dos Laredos, which lost its sixth straight game.

Piratas de Campeche (21-28) 2, Dorados de Chihuahua (20-32) 0 – Connor Hollis scored on a wild pitch in the first, Cal Mitchell doubled home Christian Ibarra in the third, and five Campeche pitchers combined to allow eight hits in a shutout of the Dorados in the series opener. Starter Joe Record allowed seven hits over five scoreless innings, striking out three and walking none.
Acereros de Monclova (29-23) 4, Guerreros de Oaxaca (29-23) 1 – Jake McSteen threw six scoreless innings for Monclova, allowing five hits and striking out three, and Rodolfo Amador drove in a pair of runs for the Blue Fury in the win. Ricardo Valenzuela drove in Oaxaca’s lone run with a single in the ninth.
Diablos Rojos del Mexico (34-19) 6, Charros de Jalisco (29-23) 5 – Jon Singleton, Carlos Perez, and Luis Liberato each went 3-for-4 for the Diablos, and Tomohiru Anraku recorded his eighth save as the Reds won the series opener. Jared Walsh homered twice, including the first of back-to-back solo homers with Kyle Garlick in the eighth for Jalisco.

Conspiradores de Queretaro (26-26) 13, Rieleros de Aguascalientes (22-29) 2 – Queretaro took actions to advance their conspiracy, getting two homers from Kelvin Gutierrez and one each from Henry Urrutia, Dwight Smith Jr., and Rainel Rosario as they handed the Rieleros their sixth straight loss. Gutierrez finished the game 3-for-5 with a grand slam, a solo homer, five RBIs and two runs scored.

Toros de Tijuana (35-16) 1, Bravos de Leon (30-22) 0 (12 Innings) – The pitcher’s duel went late into the Tijuana night, but Franchy Cordero ended it with a solo homer in the bottom of the 12th to get the Toros their 35th win of the year. Felipe Gonzalez allowed one hit over six scoreless innings, striking out six for Leon, while Toros starter Adonis Medina threw six scoreless innings as well, allowing four hits, three walks, and striking out six.
