Sultanes de Monterrey (16-7) 10, Rieleros de Aguascalientes (13-10) 0 – Stephen Tarpley threw a no-hit shutout, going the distance for the Sultanes while striking out seven and allowing three walks as the Grey Ghosts climbed to nine games over .500.
The left-hander threw 97 pitches, 64 of them strikes to become the sixth pitcher to achieve a no-hitter in the 87-year history of the Sultanes, after Evelio Hernández (1966 vs. Puebla), José Ramón López (1970 vs. Jalisco), Arturo González (1978 vs. Torreón), Walter Silva (2012 vs. Aguascalientes) and Kevin Kelly (2024 vs. Puebla).
Ricardo Genoves went 2-for-3, scored twice, and drove in three runs for Monterrey, and Gustavo Nunez and Ramiro Pena each had two hits for the Sultanes in the blowout.

Leones Fire Gastelum, Snap Losing Streak – The Leones de Yucatan parted ways with manager Sergio Omar Gastelum on Wednesday morning after the team’s losing skid hit 11 games when they dropped the series opener against Campeche. The Leones (8-15) responded with a 6-2 win, getting a solo homer from Yadir Drake, a two-run double from Erik Gonzalez, and four solid innings from starter Ronnie Williams in interim skipper Adulfo Camacho’s debut. Campeche (10-13) got an RBI double from Cal Mitchell and a one-run single from Addison Russell.
Tigres de Quintana Roo (11-12) 4, Conspiradores de Queretaro (10-13) 3 – Manuel Boscan’s sac fly in the eighth got the winning run home for the Tigres as they improved to a game below .500. Henry Urrutia hit a two-run homer, his fourth of the year, and Christopher Escarrega hit a solo homer for Queretaro.
Pericos de Puebla (14-9) 7, Bravos de Leon (14-9) 5 – Puebla took control of first place in the Zona Sur behind an RBI single and double from Moises Gomez and RBI doubles from Danny Ortiz and Herlis Rodriguez. Jose Martinez allowed three runs, two of them earned, in 5 1/3 innings of work for Puebla. Gabriel Cancel hit a solo homer for Leon.
El Aguila de Veracruz (11-13) 9, Guerreros de Oaxaca (14-10) 6 – Andres Alvarez hit a three-run homer wit two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give El Aguila its 11th win of the year. Alvarez went 2-for-5 with the homer and drove in five runs, hitting a two-run double in the bottom of the fourth. Juan Santana hit a solo homer and a two-run shot for Veracruz in the loss.

Acereros de Monclova (12-10) 12 Caliente de Durango (10-12) 0 – In the resumption of May 12’s suspended game, the Acereros’ Luis Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with three runs scored, two homers, and five RBIs, clubbing two-run homers in the fourth and sixth innings for Monclova, while Rodolfo Amador and Eric Filia drove in a pair of runs each. Wilmer Rios threw seven shutout innings, allowing one hit.
Caliente de Durango (11-12) 6, Acereros de Monclova (11-11) 0 (Seven Innings) – In Wednesday’s scheduled game, the Caliente turned the tables on Monclova, using five pitchers to twirl a seven-inning shutout of the Acereros. Reynaldo Rodriguez hit a two-run double in the third, Andre Lipcius had a pair of RBI singles, and Jose Alvarez hit a solo homer for Durango.
Olmecas de Tabasco (11-12) 10, Diablos Rojos del Mexico (12-11) 4 – The Olmecas, who have won eight of their last 10, pinned the fifth straight loss on the Diablos Wednesday night. Seth Beer hit his fourth homer of the year for Tabasco, and Jose Godoy drove in three runs, singling with the bases loaded to score two in the first, then Godoy got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the fourth.
Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (11-12) 5, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (10-13) 3 – Nate Antone allowed two runs on four hits over five innings for Dos Laredos, walking two and striking out one, J.D. Davis hit a solo homer, and Cade Gotta hit a two-run single in the second.
Saraperos de Saltillo (7-15) 10, Charros de Jalisco (11-12) 4 – The Charros fell below .500 with another loss to the Saraperos, their seventh defeat in their last 10 games. Christian Villanueva got Saltillo on the board with a solo homer in the first, Fernando Villegas added a three-run shot in the fifth, and Oscar Colas’ two-run shot in the sixth capped the win.

Toros de Tijuana (16-6) 6, Dorados de Chihuahua (8-14) 1 – The Toros won their sixth straight and improved to 10 games over .500, remaining half a game ahead of Monterrey behind six shutout innings from starter Daniel Martinez, who allowed five hits and struck out five. Isaac Rodriguez had a two-run double and Wilmer Flores hit a two-run homer for Tijuana.
