On Monday, D1 Baseball’s Mark Etheridge reported two games that the reigning national champion LSU Tigers will play for fall exhibitions.

On November 2, LSU will travel to Biloxi, Miss., to take on the Samford Bulldogs in a neutral site game at MGM Park.

Then, on November 9, LSU will hit the road again to play in Hammond, La., against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions.

Breaking Down Samford and Southeastern Louisiana – In 2025, the Samford Bulldogs went 30-27 overall and were 13-8 in Southern Conference play.

In the postseason, they won two games in the SOCON Tournament against Wofford and Mercer. However, two losses in the tournament against East Tennessee State ended their season.

Nonetheless, Samford has been a solid mid-major program in college baseball this decade. The Bulldogs have been to two NCAA Tournaments (2021 and 2023) in the last five years.

Southeastern Louisiana was a solid mid-major team in the Southland Conference in 2025. The Lions went 38-16 overall and were 22-8 in conference play.

They won the 2025 Southland Conference regular season title.

Southeastern Louisiana also won 22 games at home in 2025. This is something to make note of as LSU will be travelling to Hammond for the exhibition game in November.

LSU’s 2025 National Championship Season Results – The LSU Tigers will head into the 2026 college baseball season as the reigning national champions. Their 2025 national championship is the second one for the Tigers in three years. It is also the eighth national title in program history.

LSU finished the regular season 53-15 overall and had a 19-11 record in SEC play. They were the sixth overall national seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
