The additions of Seamon and Mohammed mean that LSU now has seven top 100 players committed to them in the 2027 cycle. According to Inside LSU baseball, four of those top 100 players are ranked in the top 35 for 2027.
According to Perfect Game, the Tigers’ 2027 recruiting class also ranks number one in the country.
LSU brought in a top five recruiting class during the 2025 cycle. The only teams with better classes ranked ahead of them are Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, and Virginia.
They are on track to have another top five class during the 2026 recruiting cycle. LSU has nine top 100 prospects committed to them in that class. LSU’s 2026 recruiting class currently ranks second in the country.
The only college baseball team with a better recruiting class in 2026 is Vanderbilt.
