On Thursday, December 25, former LSU Tigers infielder Michael Braswell III signed a deal with the Kansas City Royals organization. He announced the deal with a picture posted to his X account.

Braswell and his College Baseball Career
Braswell spent the 2022 and 2023 college baseball seasons with the South Carolina Gamecocks. He then played the 2024 and 2025 seasons with the LSU Tigers.
He was a part of the Southeastern Conference’s All-Freshman team in 2022 with South Carolina. In two seasons with the Gamecocks, he had 96 hits, 17 doubles, and 50 RBI.
Prior to the 2024 college baseball season, Braswell transferred to LSU. In two seasons with the Tigers, he had 94 hits, 18 doubles, six home runs, and 54 RBI.
He was a part of LSU’s national championship team in 2025. In the national championship-winning game against Coastal Carolina on June 22, he had a hit and drew a walk in two at-bats.
Braswell went undrafted in the 2025 MLB Draft. On the After Further Review: LSU podcast, he discussed working on pitching since the draft and getting back to form on the mound.
During the 2022 season with South Carolina, Braswell pitched five innings, struck out nine batters, and recorded three saves. Those saves came against Texas, George Washington, and Appalachian State.
Up Next for the LSU Tigers
The LSU Tigers will begin the 2026 college baseball season with a three-game weekend series at home in Alex Box Stadium from February 13-15. In that series, they will play against the Milwaukee Panthers.
