The Aces finished the 2024-25 ABL regular season in fifth place with an 18-22 record, missing the playoffs under manager John Deeble. The franchise has won two Claxton Shield championships, claiming back-to-back titles in 2019-20 and 2020-21.

KT Wiz had its inaugural season in the KBO in 2015 and won its first and only Korean Series championship in 2021. Last season, they reached the postseason under manager Kang-chul Lee as the fifth seed with a 73-70-2 record. KT Wiz won both games in the Wild Card round against the Doosan Bears, securing a 4-0 victory on October 2 and a 1-0 win on October 3.

All 10 KBO teams began spring training before February, and the 2025 KBO regular season will begin on March 22. KBO games can be streamed on Kakao TV, Naver Sports, Naver TV, and NspotV.
