Mets Stay Hot: One Thing From Every MLB Game

The Braves were unable to capitalize on a Mets loss. Time is running out for them to secure a spot in the postseason party. Here’s everything you missed from last night’s MLB action.

Atlanta Braves 6, Miami Marlins 2

The Braves picked up a much-needed bounce-back win. Max Fried came up big with a quality start, going six innings and striking out six.

New York Mets 6, Philadelphia Phillies 3

The Mets took care of the Phillies as they look to lock up the final postseason spot. Luisangel Acuña hit his third home run of the season and his career.

Detroit Tigers 6, Baltimore Orioles 4

Gunnar Henderson tied the game with a bases-loaded double in the bottom of the ninth. The Tigers responded quickly with two runs of their own in the top of the 10th.

Tampa Bay Rays 3, Toronto Blue Jays 2

It was another low-scoring game between these two clubs. However, Jonathan Aranda hit a home run for the second straight night to power the Rays offense.

Cincinnati Reds 7, Pittsburgh Pirates 1

The Reds made easy work of the Pirates for the second straight night. Homers from Ty France and Elly De La Cruz powered the Reds offense to a big night.

Washington Nationals 5, Chicago Cubs 1

Despite the situation with CJ Abrams, the Nationals got the best of the Cubs, officially eliminating them from the postseason. The bottom of their order went 5-9 with one walk and four RBIs.

San Francisco Giants 9, Kansas City Royals 0

The Giants were clicking on all cylinders against the Royals. The Royals were 0-9 with runners in scoring position. LaMonte Wade Jr. and Matt Chapman each hit two home runs.

Seattle Mariners 8, Texas Rangers 4

Julio Rodriguez homered for the second straight night as the Mariners continued to dominate the Rangers. A 16-hit night and three-run ninth inning was enough for the Mariners.

St. Louis Cardinals 6, Cleveland Guardians 5

A four-run eighth inning gave the Cardinals a scare, but they hung on. Jordan Walker hit his fifth home run of the season.

Colorado Rockies 6, Los Angeles Dodgers 3

Charlie Blackmon hit a huge two-run home run to give the Rockies some insurance in the ninth inning. The Dodgers went 2-13 with runners in scoring position last night.

San Diego Padres 6, Chicago White Sox 2

The White Sox were held to just two runs for the second straight game. The Padres led the whole way and hit three home runs.

Arizona Diamondbacks 5, Milwaukee Brewers 0

The Diamondbacks have won three straight vs the Brewers, who looked like one of the best teams in baseball after beating the Phillies. They shut out the Brewers and held them to just two hits.

New York Yankees 10, Oakland Athletics 0

After needing extra innings the previous night, the Yankees left no doubt on Saturday. Carlos Rodón threw six scoreless innings, and Aaron Judge hit home run number 54.

Houston Astros 10, Los Angeles Ageles 4

The Astros’ offense stayed hot against the Angels, scoring double-digit runs for the second consecutive night. The Astros racked up 20 hits to cruise to win.
