Mets Will Air Commercial Spot During Super Bowl

Since buying the New York Mets in September of 2020, finance mogul Steve Cohen has not shied away on spending money on… anything.

He spends money on free agents, notably signing free agent pitchers Justin Verlander and Kodai Senga this offseason.

And he spends money on marketing the team. To remind fans that baseball season is just around the corner, with pitchers and catchers set to report to the Mets’ spring training facility in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on February 15.

The commercial, which will only air in the New York City metropolitan area, features several Mets players including Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, Francisco Lindor, and Senga, and the team’s longtime mascot, Mr. Met, working the phones in the team’s ticket sales department.
