Mexico completed their selection process for the adult and Youth Baseball5 National Teams in Chihuahua from August 15 to 17. It was the last stop of a process that visited Acapulco, Guerrero, Saltillo, Coahuila, Culiacán, Sinaloa twice before reaching Chihuahua.
Mexico will host the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup 2025 from September 24 to 27 in Tepic. They will also participate in the WBSC Americas Baseball5 World Cup Qualifier from October 8 to 12 in Caracas, Venezuela. The tournament will award four spots in the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2026.
Mexico won bronze in the inaugural WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup in 2023.
They were the hosts of the inaugural WBSC Baseball5 World Cup in 2022 and finished in fifth place. Mexico recorded a sixth-place finish at the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024 in Hong Kong.
