Minnesota Baseball to Play in the 2026 Cambria Classic at US Bank Stadium

The Minnesota Golden Gophers have revealed their 2026 college baseball schedule. From March 6 through March 8, they will play in the Cambria Classic at US Bank Stadium.  

The stadium is normally the home of the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League. 

On March 6, the Golden Gophers will play the UNLV Rebels. Then, on March 7, they will play the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. To round out the invitational event, Minnesota will play the Omaha Mavericks on March 8.  

According to College Baseball Central’s Noah Darling, the other two opponents featured in the 2026 Cambria Classic field are the Northwestern Wildcats and Southern Illinois Salukis.  

Breaking Down Minnesota’s Opponents in the 2026 Cambria Classic 

In 2025, the UNLV Rebels went 31-23 overall. They were also 16-14 in Mountain West play and finished in fourth place in the conference standings.  

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits finished the 2025 season 16-36 overall. They were 12-18 in Summit League play and finished fifth in the conference standings.  

The only team that had a worse conference record than the Jackrabbits in The Summit League last season was Northern Colorado.  

South Dakota State played Minnesota twice in 2025. The Golden Gophers won both games. Both matchups were played at Minnesota’s home field, Siebert Field.  

The Omaha Mavericks finished 20-30 overall during the 2025 college baseball season. They were 12-16 in Summit League play and finished in fourth place in the conference standings.  

Minnesota and 2025 Season Results 

 In 2025, the Golden Gophers finished the season 24-28 overall. They were also 10-20 in Big Ten play and finished in 16th place in the conference standings.  

The only team with a worse conference record than Minnesota in the Big Ten last season was Ohio State.
