This weekend, the Missouri Tigers won their first SEC game and their first SEC series win.

On Friday, they defeated the Texas A&M Aggies 9-6 to win their first SEC game. The Tigers put up 12 hits as a team and broke away with a six-run 9th inning. Star player Jackson Lovich had a home run and three RBI. He led the Tigers offensively.

Relief pitchers Kaden Jacobi, Brock Lucas, and Xavier Lovett combined for six and 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs.

On Saturday, Missouri had a chance to win the series. They accomplished this, beating Texas A&M 4-1.

Missouri’s six pitchers combined for a great winning effort. Tony Neubeck was credited with the win. He threw three and one-third innings with four strikeouts.

On offense, Lovich and his teammate Pierre Seals both had three hits. Left fielder Tyler Macon contributed two hits.

The Tigers‘ hot start in the first inning and late innings propelled them to the win, which also earned them the series win in College Station.
