MLB Draft Combine Opens Tuesday June 17 With 322 Prospects at Chase Field

The MLB Draft Combine returns to Chase Field in Phoenix from June 17–21, featuring 322 top draft-eligible prospects from across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Now in its third year at a Major League venue, the 2025 Combine will showcase 180 collegiate and 142 high school athletes in front of scouts, front office executives, and player development staff. Former Major League players, USA Baseball officials, and MLB personnel will also be in attendance.

The Combine will air live on MLB Network on Tuesday, June 17, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. EDT. Additional coverage and stream links are available at MLB.com. That evening, a high school showcase game will be streamed on MLB.com with commentary from Jim Callis, Jonathan Mayo, and Jesse Borek at 9 p.m. EDT.

All Times Pacific

Tuesday, June 17
On-Field Workouts – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
MLB Network Showcase – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
High School Game – 6 p.m.

Wednesday, June 18
On-Field Workouts – 9:30 a.m.

Thursday, June 19
Strength & Conditioning – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

From June 17–19, media will have access to workouts. On June 20–21, MLB front office representatives will meet with players and families as part of the Combine’s interview and evaluation process.

“The Combine will provide an opportunity for players to participate in a series of on-field, medical, and performance assessments as well as educational programming designed to prepare them for careers in professional baseball,” MLB.com stated. “All players will have the opportunity to participate in a pro-style showcase workout… and high school players will have the option to participate in games.”

All 322 players confirmed attendance on the Future Star Series official website.

According to Joe Doyle of FSS Plus, 281 of those players are ranked on MLBPipeline.com’s Top 200 Draft Prospects list. Several top-ranked players are not attending due to College World Series participation, including Aiva Arquette (Oregon State), Kade Anderson (LSU), and Patrick Forbes (Louisville).

Other top names declining to participate include No. 1 Ethan Holliday, No. 5 Eli Willits, and No. 20 Kruz Schoolcraft.

2025 MLB Draft Overview

This year’s MLB Draft will be held July 13–14 in Atlanta, Ga., during All-Star Week. It will take place at the Coca-Cola Roxy at The Battery Atlanta, with Round 1 broadcast live on ESPN and MLB Network beginning at 6 p.m. EDT on July 13.

The 2025 draft includes 615 picks across 20 rounds. Amateur players from high schools and colleges in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico will be eligible.

The Washington Nationals hold the first overall pick, awarded during the MLB Winter Meetings on December 10, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.
