Multiple Players Confirmed for FEPCUBE Team at 2024 Intercontinental Series

Thirteen players have reportedly confirmed their participation in the 2024 Intercontinental Series in Barranquilla, Colombia, for a team representing expatriate Cubans.

Among the players confirmed for the team, which will be called FEPCUBE Patria y Vida, are outfielders Leonys Martin and Juan Carlos Negret, infielder JC Escarra, utility players Henry Urrutia, Rangel Ravelo, Felix Stevens, and Peter O’Brien, and pitchers Odrisamer Despaigne, Yuniesky Maya, Francisley Bueno, and Ariel Miranda, Cuban Baseball Digest reported on Friday.

FEPCUBE has no relationship to the Federacion Cubana de Beisbol or the Cuban government.

The tournament will be from Jan. 25 to Feb. 1, 2024, with the champion of the Liga Beisbol Profesional Colombiano representing Colombia. Curacao, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Mexico, the United States, are reportedly also participating in the event.
