The NCAA Top 25 Division I rankings for the 2024 regular season were released on April 8 from D1Baseball.com, with the University of Arkansas remaining at No.1 for a fifth consecutive week.

The three programs that dropped out of the Top 25 NCAA Division I rankings are: Louisiana State University (21-12), previously ranked at No. 18; North Carolina State University (18-11) was ranked at No. 19; and the University of South Carolina (22-10) was ranked at No. 22.

The University of Oregon (22-8), at No. 18; the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (24-8), at No. 19; and Oklahoma State University (21-11), at No. 21, all entered the Top 25 NCAA Division I rankings.

Two teams dropped out of the top 10 this week. Dallas Baptist dropped from No. 8 to No. 15 after losing two out of three games on the road to Western Kentucky. Florida, which had the most significant change in the rankings, dropped from No. 6 to No. 24 after being swept by the University of Missouri over the weekend.

Kentucky and UCF were the big winners of the chaos over the weekend. Kentucky surged into the top ten after sweeping SEC rival Alabama at home and now sits at No. 8. UCF is now sitting comfortably in the rankings thanks mainly to taking two of three at home against Kansas State. The Knights moved from No. 25 to No. 17.

Looking ahead to this coming weekend, two series of top 25 teams are taking place.

Arkansas will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on No. 25 Alabama for a three-game set as the Razorbacks look to solidify themselves as the number-one team in the country.

Two top-ten teams will face off in another SEC battle when No. 6 Vanderbilt takes on No. 3 Texas A&M from College Station.
