The 2023 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship bracket was announced on Monday, with Wake Forest earning the top overall seed.

The tournament has a field of 64 teams and a variable format, with a portions of the event being double elimination bracket play and other portions being best-of-three series play.

On Friday, four teams will face off at 16 regional sites, with the top 16 seeds in the field having the honor of hosting regionals at their team’s home field. Each regional is a seeded four-team double elimination bracket, with one team advancing out of each regional.

The following week, the remaining 16 teams meet in the super regionals, a best-of-three series to determine which team will go to the College World Series at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.

Eight teams advance to the College World Series, and are split into two four-team double elimination brackets. Bracket play begins in Omaha on June 16 and will conclude on June 21 or June 22, depending upon how many games are necessary to determine a bracket winner.

The winners of each bracket at the College World Series square off in a best-of-three series June 24, 25, and 26 to determine the national champion.
