Over the past week, more college baseball players have ended up at new schools via the NCAA transfer portal. The Alabama Crimson Tide, Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas Baptist Patriots, and Georgia Bulldogs all made some big additions.
South Carolina’s Ashton Crowther Commits to Alabama – After two seasons with the South Carolina Gamecocks, left-handed pitcher Ashton Crowther is heading to Alabama.
In 2025, he had a 4.38 ERA in 19 appearances and made two starts. He pitched a total of 37 innings.
In just SEC games, Crowthers’ ERA was even better at 3.05.
The southpaw from South Carolina can provide Alabama with some bullpen depth and even has some starting pitching experience as well.
TCU’s Mason Bixby Commits to Oklahoma – Mason Bixby is a 6-foot-7 pitching prospect who spent his 2025 season with the TCU Horned Frogs.
He had a 5.89 ERA in 18 1/3 innings. During that same stretch, he had 24 strikeouts as well.
Bixby did not let up a lot of hits in 2025. He had an allowed opposing batting average of .200.
The huge right-handed prospect is heading to a school in Oklahoma that can develop pitching well.
New Orleans’ Bryce Calloway Commits to Georgia – Georgia landed another talented player in the transfer portal in two-way prospect Bryce Calloway.
In 2025, Calloway had a .390 batting average, a .484 on-base percentage, 18 home runs, and 63 RBI.
He also pitched 25 1/3 innings and struck out 23 batters. He recorded 11 saves this season which had him ranked in the top 15 in the country.
The great season with the New Orleans Privateers landed Calloway a spot on D1 Baseball’s third-team All-American list.
The New Orleans transfer brings Georgia talented hitting that can translate in a hitter’s park like Foley Field. He also provides head coach Wes Johnson with some good relief pitching as well.
